Multiple Teams · JV Cardinals End Season With 18-6 Record


The JV Cardinals hosted Henry Clay last night at Letcher Norton Gym; however, the Cards were unable to finish the season on a winning note. The visiting Blue Devils won, 64-54. The JV Cardinals ended the season with a record of 18-6.

The game was tied after the first quarter at 19. KJ Rucker led the Cardinals with 8 points behind 2 treys. Tra Hooten had 7 points with 1 trey. Zeke Dijiba had 4 points.

Henry Clay took the lead for good in the second quarter. The Blue Devils led at halftime, 38-33. KJ Rucker led the Cardinals in the quarter with 2 treys. Nitavius Thomas had 4 points.

The wheels came off of the bus in the third quarter for the Cardinals as GRC scored only 4 points over 6 minutes. Henry Clay led after three quarters, 53-37.

The Cardinals finished the game outscoring the Blue Devils, 17-11; however, it was not enough to make a complete comeback. The Cardinals lost, 64-54. Hunter Helderman led the Cardinals in the final stanza with 7 points.
